While teabagging is a valid insult in Monster Hunter Wilds, there are better, more creative ways of taunting that are exclusive to the franchise. Case in point: Monster Hunter Wilds players have been taking out their Portable BBQ Grill to cook delicious meals in front of a raging Arkveld:
As one of the strongest monsters currently in the game, the Arkveld has the potential to one-shot a hunter given the proper circumstances. Its lethality is only overshadowed by the quality of its parts, leading many players to farm Arkvelds in the endgame.
Perhaps due to the frequency at which players fight it, many have already memorized Arkveld’s attack patterns and behaviors. As such, some would rather take a break and cook some meat than roll for another Arkveld Gem. Things don’t always work out in the player’s favor, however, as the lengthy cooking animation often gets interrupted by the rampaging monster:
The only thing worse than getting wrecked by an Arkveld is the fact that the associated buffs from eating a cooked meal do not activate. Not only do you fail to pull the taunt off, but the meal you worked so hard on is rendered null and void.
Monster Hunter Wilds is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
