Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test 2 participants will get special bonuses in full game
Capcom announced that they will be holding a second open beta for Monster Hunter Wilds prior to the game’s February 28 release. Participants in Open Beta Test 2 will not only get to experience new content but will also be able to claim some exclusive bonuses to use in the full game.
Monster Hunter Wilds’ Open Beta Test 2 will be held in two parts; from February 7 to 10 and then February 14 to 17. Players on PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will be able to take part. In addition to all the content available in the first beta like character creation, story trial and the Doshaguma hunt, Open Beta Test 2 will give players the opportunity to hunt Gypceros, a returning monster from the series.
As a thank-you, beta test participants will be able to receive some bonuses if they purchase the full version of Monster Hunter Wilds on the same platform and account. Those who participated in either the first November 2024 beta or the February 2025 one will get a cute Felyne-themed Open Beta Test Bonus Pendant, which can be used to decorate your weapon. On top of that, Open Beta Test 2 participants will get a special bonus item pack containing a bunch of helpful items to help you on your hunts.
However, Capcom warns that the improvements made based on feedback from the first beta (including aspects related to performance, game balance and weapon mechanics) will not be reflected in the Open Beta Test 2 build of the game. Players will have to wait for the full game’s release to experience these changes.
Monster Hunter Wilds is scheduled to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) on February 28.
