A Guardian Fulgur Anjanath is next on the Monster Hunter Wilds hitlist as the featured monster in the new “Running Wild” Event Quest. With a minimum requirement of Hunter Rank (HR) 21, this quest takes place in the Ruins of Wyveria, where the lightning-spewing Construct resides.
Unlike the regular fire-breathing Anjanath, the Guardian Fulgur Anjanath is a stronger, Thunder-based variation and one of the Construct monsters created by the Ancient Civilization of Wyveria to serve them. Due to its Thunder affinity, the Guardian Fulgur Anjanath is immune to Thunder-based attacks and weak to Water, Ice, and Dragon-based attacks. When it comes to status ailments, they are immune to Exhaust but susceptible to Stun, Paralysis, Sleep, and Blastblight.
In addition to its Thunder-based attacks, the Guardian Fulgur Anjanath also likes to tackle using its head, body, and tail. Be on the lookout when close to the monster and remember to wear armor with high Thunder resistance.
Completing the “Running Wild” quest will reward you with the usual Guardian Fulgur Anjanath drops and a unique Sealed Dragon Cloth equipment material. Taking the Sealed Dragon Cloth to Gemma the blacksmith will allow you to craft the Sealed Dragon Cloth α headgear, which outfits your hunter in an oversized scarf. Dual Blades players will be elated as they can add this scarf to their Attack on Titan Mikasa Ackerman cosplay.
The “Running Wild” Event Quest runs until June 3 at 11:59 pm UTC. Monster Hunter Wilds is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
