For too long has your Monster Hunter Wilds Palico been limited to the confines of its Felyne form. With the upcoming “Kut-Ku the Forest Conqueror” Event Quest, you will be able to craft the unique Wudwud Guise α Palico equipment set to make your companion look like a local furry creature.
However, before you can craft the Palico equipment, you must first participate in the Hunter Rank (HR) 21 minimum-requirement Event Quest to hunt a Tempered Yian Kut-Ku in the Scarlet Forest. Similar to the “Kut-Ku Gone Cuckoo” Event Quest, which features a regular Yian Kut-Ku, the Tempered variant is weak to Thunder and Ice elemental attacks. It is also susceptible to Poison, Sleep, Paralysis, Blastblight, Stun, and Exhaust. While the Tempered Yian Kut-Ku has more health and deals more damage, it retains the moveset of the regular variant.
Defeating the Tempered Yian Kut-Ku will reward you with the usual monster materials as well as special materials that can be brought to Alma the blacksmith. Give her the required materials alongside the prerequisite amount of Zenny, and soon you’ll have your very own Wudwud that will follow you on your adventures. While the Wudwud Guise α Palico equipment doesn’t quite match the craftable Faux Felyne α headgear, monsters will cower in fear as the Forbidden Lands are overrun with Felyne-headed hunters and their Wudwud support companions.
The Kut-Ku the Forest Conqueror Event Quest begins June 18 at 12 am and runs until July 1 at 11:59 pm UTC. Monster Hunter Wilds is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
