Monster Hunter Wilds’ Event Quest lineup lets players farm Armor Spheres and Hunter Ranks following the new difficulty and gear update

New batch of live Event Quests in Monster Hunter Wilds allows you to boost your HR and Armor Sphere count.

If your hunter doesn’t meet the required Hunter Rank (HR) of 50 to unlock the new 9-star Tempered Monster quests, or if you’re looking for a quick way to farm Armor Spheres, then Monster Hunter Wilds’ current batch of live Event Quests has you covered. Coinciding with the new 1.021 update that raises the game’s difficulty and armor upgrade limit, the four Event Quests will allow you to boost your HR and Amor Sphere count.

Both the “Anguish and Atrocity” and the new “Eldrich Enigma” Event Quests reward tons of HR points upon their completion. Anguish and Atrocity is an HR 21-minimum requirement quest that has you hunting a Guardian Doshaguma in the Ruins of Wyveria. Once you’ve worked your way up to HR 31, you can start doing the Eldrich Enigma Event Quest, which features a much tougher Tempered Xu Wu in the Wounded Hollow and even greater HR rewards.

The “Tongue-Tied” and “Wreaking Havoc in Wyveria” Event Quests both feature Armor Sphere rewards, with the latter rewarding more of the rarer Hard Armor Spheres. If you haven’t made it to HR 31 yet, consider starting with the Tongue-Tied Event Quest, which is an HR 21-minimum requirement quest that rewards both Advanced and Hard Armor Spheres for hunting a Tempered Catchacabra (the first large monster you encounter) in the Windward Plains. Once you have reached HR 31, you can hunt a Tempered Guardian Fulgur Anjanath in the Ruins of Wyveria exclusively for Hard Armor Spheres.

After you’ve collected enough Armor Spheres, head over to Gemma at the Smithy and choose “Forge/Upgrade Armor.” This will allow you to upgrade your armors with a rarity of 5 or higher past their previous threshold, as well as any armors you haven’t fully upgraded.

All of the aforementioned quests will be live until August 19 at 11:59 PM UTC. This will provide those without sufficient HR or Armor Spheres ample time to catch up and take on the harder content.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
