In celebration of its closed alpha test anniversary, Marvel Rivals is bringing back its Season 0 Luxury battle pass. Players can buy the Luxury battle pass for a limited time using the premium Lattice currency and can look forward to past battle passes returning in the future.
The Season 0 battle pass returns with some strings attached
The Season 0 Luxury battle pass will return starting May 15, 2025 at 2 am PDT and will be available until May 29, 2025 at 2 am PDT. Initially costing 500 Lattice (roughly $5 USD) last December 2024 and featuring half the content of a full battle pass (Season 0 ran for just one month), the returning Season 0 battle pass will only come in its Luxury version and will be priced at 590 Lattice.
Apart from the price difference, another big change of the returning Season 0 battle pass is that it will not feature free rewards. Considering you need to pay for the Season 0 Luxury battle pass and that Marvel Rivals is in the middle of Season 2, the developers do not want to take the focus away from the game’s current season. Thankfully, most progress for Marvel Rivals battle passes can be carried over to succeeding seasons, allowing players to complete them at their own pace.
Included in the Season 0 battle pass are costumes for Black Panther (Galactic Claw), The Punisher (Thunderbolts), Dr. Strange (God of Magic), Hela (Empress of the Cosmos), and Mantis (Galactic Wings). These costumes come with associated cosmetics, as well as extra Lattice and Units that you can use for future purchases.
Future battle pass returns could be coming
Marvel Rivals’ developers have stated that other previous battle passes might return. For a battle pass to return, it must be at least two seasons old and priced at least 20% higher than its original rate. These conditions are to incentivize players to purchase the battle pass during its first run, as it is not only cheaper but also gives those who use the cosmetics a sense of exclusivity.
The Season 0 battle pass return will coincide with the in-game Galacta’s Gift event, where players can earn free rewards like Nameplates, Sprays, Chrono Shield Cards, and a Costume Coin that allows you to pick a Season 0 costume of your choice.
Marvel Rivals is available for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
