Macross: Shooting Insight’s release tainted by Bushiroad’s shipping accident

Bushiroad made a statement on March 12 via the official Macross: Shooting Insight X (formerly Twitter) account to notify and apologize to users for a packaging mishap that has occurred with the game’s physical edition for the PS4 and PS5. It seems that buyers will not receive a promised gift item in their packages, which has caused a lot of exasperated “here we go again” reactions in the community.

Macross: Shooting Insight, the latest entry to the Macross series, is a bullet hell scrolling shooter game that releases on March 14 for the PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch and PS4/PS5. Players who ordered the first round of physical copies of the game were promised Weiß Schwarz PR Cards. Weiß Schwarz is a collectible card game produced by Bushiroad, and “PR Card” refers to exclusive cards made for promotional use, which, depending on several factors, can be of high value/rarity.

Post translation: Of course, this is what happens lol. The sin of tainting Macross’ name is heavy you guys

It seems that while people who ordered the Nintendo Switch version of Macross: Shooting Insight will receive this gift as planned, those who purchased the PS versions will not, as the company has forgot to pack them. While Bushiroad has provided a procedure for affected customers to apply to receive the cards at a later date, the situation has caused a lot of dissatisfaction, especially in light of the title’s release being postponed several times. Users are also criticizing Bushiroad’s “cumbersome” solution, which requires buyers to personally apply to receive the gift and attach proof of their purchase.

Macross: Shooting Insight releases on March 14 for the PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch and PS4/PS5.
