Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will let players choose Juliet’s voice
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is already shaping up to be the ultimate remaster of the 2012 hack-and-slash action game, offering players lots of extras. It was revealed on July 4 that players will be able to choose from at least four voices for zombie hunter Juliet (source: Game*Spark).
In the original Lollipop Chainsaw, Juliet was voiced by Tara Strong in the English version. In the Japanese version, she was voiced by Eri Kitamura on Xbox 360 and Yoko Hikasa on PS3, with the option of unlocking both in limited uncensored releases of the game. In Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, players will not only be able to choose between Tara Strong, Eri Kitamura and Yoko Hikasa, but they can also try listening to Yukari Tamura’s new Japanese voicing of Juliet. Basically, you can pick your favorite of the four voices for Juliet.
Anime and game fans have likely heard Yukari Tamura’s voice before as she has been an active voice actor since 1997, often providing cute, girly performances. She has voiced Tenten in Naruto, Talim in the SoulCalibur series and numerous characters in Genshin Impact, to name a few roles on her extensive resume.
As well as offering players at least three Japanese voices and one English voice to choose from, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP ups the ante by offering over 480 possible costume variations for Juliet. It will also give players the option of playing in Original Mode, which keeps the game’s goriness intact, or RePOP mode, which adds popart animations and tones down the graphic content.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is set to be released on September 25 for the PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X❘S and Nintendo Switch.
The news keeps getting better and better on this game. The only question left is when I can wishlist this on Steam.
