Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will have 30 costumes and a total of 480 variations
The producer of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Yoshimi Yasuda has revealed that the game will feature 30 costumes, including outfits from the original game and new ones. The remake will also give players four new hair colors and four new chainsaw types, amounting to 480 possible costume variations.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is a present-day reimagining of the 2012 horror action game Lollipop Chainsaw that was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The highly anticipated remastered version is set to launch in Summer 2024, and as its release approaches, we are finding out various exciting details about the game.
Previously, Yasuda revealed that RePOP will leave Lollipop Chainsaw’s original scenario and script mostly untouched while building upon it with improvements and new appealing features. This includes adapting battle mechanics for modern consoles, making speed adjustments and adding mechanics such as a consecutive hit system (Related article). However, it seems the developers are also staying devoted to the game’s distinctive visual aspects.
Juliet’s quirky and sexy outfits were a big part of Lollipop Chainsaw’s flavor, and it seems RePOP will add brand new threads to Lollipop Chainsaw’s original lineup of 19 outfits, making for a total of 30 costumes. Along with hair and chainsaw customizations, players will be able to make up to 480 costume variations. Yasuda has previously also commented that Dragami Games will be doing their best to fulfill players’ wishes for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP to be uncensored with a physical version available.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is planned to be released worldwide in Summer 2024
Extremely happy to hear we will get more outfits and they are adding onto the battle mechanics that felt a bit basic for it’s time. Keeping the visual style is amazing to me just because not many times do announcements like this happen and it stays true to what the fans liked it for. Definitely will be pre-ordering this when it’s on PC.
I will support this game, as I did the original back in 2012. I’ll pick it up day one and am really hoping they will do a sequel. Thanks Suda51!
