Like a Dragon event offers fans wedding ceremony with their favorite character for $980. Complete with faux marriage and divorce papers

Commemorating Like a Dragon's 20th anniversary, the Four Ceremonies of Life Exhibition will let fans marry characters like Kiryu and Majima.

In celebration of the Like a Dragon series’ 20th anniversary this year, Sega and RGG Studio will hold a large-scale exhibition dedicated to the series, themed around “The Four Ceremonies of Life.” One of these four ceremonies happens to be marriage, and this part of the exhibition will take fanservice to another level, offering fans the opportunity to “marry” their favorite Yakuza characters, ceremony and all.

According to a announcement by the official RGG Studio YouTube Channel, the Like a Dragon Marriage exhibition will house life-sized panels of 11 characters from the series, including Kiryu, Majima, Ichiban and Seonhee. Styled like a wedding hall, the venue will function as a photo spot where fans can live out their fantasies of marrying their favorite characters. The event will also come with its own app, through which you can create and decorate AR couple photos using new character art specifically created for the exhibition.

But most impressive of all is the “Special Wedding Experience Package,” which lets you hold a personal wedding ceremony with a Like a Dragon character for 150,000 yen (about $980). This includes a private room,  a professional hair and makeup artist, and photographer who’ll take pictures of you and your “partner” in a wedding gown or tuxedo. You can invite up to ten loved ones to your wedding. At the end of the ceremony, you’ll get your (legally void) marriage certificate, and even divorce papers.

Like a Dragon marriage certificate

Only 15 Like a Dragon fans will get this opportunity though, with winning applicants being decided by lottery. The Four Ceremonies of Life Exhibition will be held from November 28 to December 22 in Tokyo, and from February 6 to February 24 in Osaka.
