Level-5 warns against fake Yo-kai Watch webpage

Suspicious Yo-kai Watch e-commerce website appears online, prompting Level-5 to warn their fans of potential fraud risk.

Yo-kai Watch studio Level-5 has recently warned fans of a suspicious website using a similar domain name to the official Yo-kai Watch webpage. The fake mail-order site, titled “youkaiwatch.com,” features several copyrighted Yo-kai Watch images, including the franchise logo and series characters. These stolen images, combined with the similar domain name and the lack of company or contact information, led Level-5 to believe that the fake mail-order site was created to intentionally deceive people.

Post translation: We have identified a fake e-commerce site using a domain name similar to “Yo-kai Watch.” This website is not operated, supervised, or authorized by Level-5 Inc, and is completely unrelated to the “Yo-kai Watch” series, so please refrain from using it.

Level-5 warns that visitors of the fake site may be subject to fraud, and could have their personal and credit card information stolen. Should you accidentally place an order on the site, Level-5 asks that you contact your credit card company immediately and call the authorities if necessary. The studio is currently investigating the issue and will take strict measures against fraudulent activities that seek to misuse its properties.
