Kadokawa – a major Japanese publisher of manga, anime and games (and parent company of Elden Ring developer FromSoftware), has launched recruitment campaigns seeking experienced game production staff, according to Denfaminicogamer.
As it expands its game business, the publisher is actively seeking to hire mid-career game producers, assistant game producers and game marketing leads for adaptations of its IPs (including light novels, manga and anime). This move seems to be part of Kadokawa’s strategy of becoming “more than just a traditional publishing company.” Rather than just providing IPs, the company aims to handle everything from IP creation to video game adaptations in-house.

Currently, Kadokawa is preparing to launch its first global game project – a multiplatform title based on The Rising of the Shield Hero anime. But, as noted by Denfaminicogamer, the publisher also has multiple unannounced projects in the works too, hence the need for new production staff. Based on the listings, Kadokawa seems to be working on mobile/online, PC and console titles.
Apart from FromSoftware, other game companies under the Kadokawa umbrella include Spike Chunsoft (Danganronpa), Acquire (Tenchu, Way of the Samurai) and Gotcha Gotcha Games (RPG Maker series).
