Japanese indie studio spends over 300 hours making a 30-minute-long end credits scene after promising to credit over 60,000 names

Japanese indie dev reveals it took over 300 hours to add 64,901 names into the 30-minute credits scene for their game Twilight Moonflower.

After amassing a whopping 64,901 likes on an X post that promised to put everyone who liked it in the end credits of an upcoming co-op horror title Twilight Moonflower, developer ConnectedShadowGames put in the extra time to make sure everyone was included. That promise has now been fulfilled, although it took creator TaT roughly 300 extra hours to accommodate everyone.

Post translation:

In an effort to get my solo-developed game noticed, I promised to credit everyone who liked an X post in the ending credits.

The result?

Some 60,000 people liked the post, but I managed to cram every single one of them  in after 300 hours of sheer determination.

According to the game’s official X page, Twilight Moonflower’s end credits scene runs for 30 minutes and features an original song composed and written by YouTuber Creator KY.

Twilight Moonflower is an upcoming co-op horror game that follows indie game creator Shota as he returns to his hometown. Chasing after his childhood memories of a frail girl whom he used to play with, he is transported into a twisted version of the town. Whether it be alone or with up to three friends, you must identify and seal supernatural phenomena while avoiding roaming yokai foes. Featuring three endings, a Time Attack mode, and a Custom mode that lets you adjust a run’s parameters, the game is supposed to have a fair amount of replayability.

Initially set to release last year, Twilight Moonflower will now launch on January 30 for Windows (Steam).
