Japanese gamers suggest using League of Legends or Overcooked to expose your partner’s true colors before marrying them
It’s a wonderful thing when you can enjoy video games with your significant other. Still, according to Japanese gamers, the true test of a relationship comes from playing League of Legends (LoL) or one of the Overcooked games with them:
An X post by user telbim33 regarding the fragility of relationships when playing these games has already garnered over 30,000 Likes and 7,700 Reposts. Commenters note that while both games’ aesthetics are fun and cartoony, their gameplay loops tend to bring out players’ toxic sides. Some say that Overcooked and League of Legends bring out their partners’ true nature, while others say that it is only natural to be mad when playing these games.
While Overcooked and LoL serve as good tests of teamwork, working and adapting towards a single goal tends to create a lot of friction between players. Arguments in Overcooked are nothing new, as even Japanese actresses and former idol group members Haruka Ishida and Rino Sashihara revealed that they have seen mild-mannered people change into scary partners when playing the cooking management game.
Amidst the talk of heated cooking sessions and fierce team battles, various multiplayer games were suggested as titles that couples should play before tying the knot. Apex Legends, Splatoon, and even fighting games were mentioned, which shows that different couples have varying tastes when it comes to playing video games together.
