Japanese indie developer Actor recently announced that their upcoming ghost spanking title, Spanking Exorcist, has been indefinitely delayed. The game was originally set for a July 24 release, but the Steam review process has been taking longer than expected. According to the developer, they have been in discussions with Steam regarding the game’s more risqué themes for the past month, without a proper conclusion so far.
Given that Steam has yet to approve Spanking Exorcist, the chances of it being released in one day are very slim, but not zero. Though an updated release date has not been decided, Actor assures that they are doing everything they can so that fans can play the game as soon as possible. As a side note, Spanking Exorcist recently surpassed 7,000 Wishlists on Steam.
Spanking Exorcist puts you in the shoes of Ioto Shirihataki, a specialized spanking exorcist tasked with riding the Peach Butt Housing Complex of evil spirits. Unique to the complex are the spirits of housewives whose unfulfilled desire in life was to be “spanked as hard as possible.” Your job as the exorcist is to find the female spirits, and “fulfill their needs” by, of course, slapping them on the bottom.
Apart from the female ghosts, several malevolent spirits who aren’t into butt-slapping will try to put an end to your butt-slapping career. As such, gameplay revolves around avoiding (and occasionally fighting) the evil spirits while exacting your unique brand of exorcism on the housewife ghosts.
Spanking Exorcist is set to release for Windows (Steam). While an updated release date has yet to be announced, the game has not been cancelled.
