During Level-5’s recent Inazuma Eleven stream, CEO Akihiro Hino talked at length about Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road’s Chronicle Mode, in which 5,400 potential players can be recruited. Due to the enormous roster that would “take an absurd amount of time to complete,” Hino says that his team has made it possible for these characters to be carried over into a potential sequel, in case one gets made (as spotted by Famitsu).
Although Hino is confident in Victory Road being a successful comeback of the Inazuma Eleven series and becoming a worldwide hit, he didn’t explicitly say that a sequel was in the works. However, he did detail Victory Road’s new Player Bank feature. With it, players can store their recruited players along with their current gear and stats, as well as switch them into their active team.

However, as the game features over 5,400 recruitable members, Hino says the Player Bank’s storage might not be enough. Should a Player Bank get too full, certain members must be deleted to make room. The Player Bank system is what will be used to carry over data to any possible sequels in the series, so if you’ve only managed to collect 700 players by the time a new game comes out, Hino says not to worry.
Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is set to release on November 13 for the Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, PlayStation 4 and 5, PC (Windows), and Xbox Series X|S.
