Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road devs confident in game’s “worldwide hit” potential

The beta test demo for Level 5’s soccer RPG Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road releases worldwide on March 28 for the Nintendo Switch. Although the game has gone through many delays, the developers seem confident in where they’re at now – as was recently conveyed by Level 5’s CEO Akihiro Hino.

Post translation: Mini “Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road” tournament at the company! We held it in the theater room of our main office, and it was so fun! Solo play is great on its own, but the online competitive mode is exceptionally entertaining! We’re confident that we can aim for a worldwide hit with this game! We can’t wait for you all to try it out when the beta version is released! Coming soon!

On March 20, Hino shared images of Level 5 staff playing Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road on his personal X (formerly Twitter) account. The latest installment of the Inazuma Eleven series will include two singleplayer modes (Story Mode and Chronicle Mode) and a PvP Online Tournament mode. Hino offers particular praise for the latter, hyping users up for a “worldwide hit.”

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road has been in the works for a long time, and was originally planned for release back in 2018. After several delays, it seems Level 5 are happy with the progress they’ve made. Victory Road is an ambitious project that will include over 4500 characters from the series past, new game mechanics and animation by studio MAPPA.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road launches in 2024 for the PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, PS4/PS5, iOS and Android. The beta demo goes live on March 28 for the Nintendo Switch.

  1. Definitely can not wait for it’s release on PC. I have never been able to fully experience Inazuma series in America, most likely due to Soccer not being as popular in this country as in others. But i am glad they are deciding to go all in with this. Hoping for a Online PVP mode with friends, and local competitive co-op down the line.
