CCMC Corporation, a subsidiary of COVER, has announced that their indie publishing label holo Indie will make a major revision of their game review system and establish a new operational structure starting February 26 and lasting until Spring 2026. During this transition period, all new title submissions will be suspended for the time being.
holo Indie was launched in 2023 as a publishing brand under CCMC Corporation, with the goal to provide proper means of support for indie developers who create content based on COVER’s original IPs, mainly hololive. The brand has birthed many hit titles such as Holo vs Robo (developed by Pompmaker1), Chrono Gear: Warden of Time (developed by Team Chrono Gear, GalaxyTrail), and hololive Treasure Mountain (developed by BeXide Inc.).
CCMC reports that, as of recently, holo Indie has been receiving an “exceptionally high number” of hololive-inspired game submissions. In order to be able to handle the rapidly increasing number of submissions, the company decided to pause things and focus on optimizing the review and support structure for titles which are currently under consideration, as well as future entries. During this period, developers won’t be able to submit any new games via the official website’s submission form.
According to the announcement, the transition period will last roughly until April to May this year, when the team at CCMC expects to be able to resume submissions. The exact date will be announced once the revision schedule has been finalized.
