Gundam Breaker 4 new Story Mode and character information revealed

Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed new information about the story and characters in the Gunpla action shooter Gundam Breaker 4. The upcoming title is scheduled to be released on August 29 for the PC (Steam)/Nintendo Switch and PS5/PS4.

Gundam Breaker 4 is the latest title in the Gundam Breaker action series. Developed to make up for the shortcomings of past entries such as New Gundam Breaker, Gundam Breaker 4 will focus on PvE gameplay and improved mech customization. The game will allow players to design and assemble their own Gundam mechs by combining customizable parts from over 250 units. Parts can be resized, painted and weathered. By completing missions and eliminating enemies, players will unlock new units and abilities.

According to GameSpark, the story of Gundam Breaker 4 is set six years after the events of Gundam Breaker 3. The protagonist participates in the beta test of the (in-game) online battle simulator GUNPLA Battle Blaze: Beyond Borders, referred to as GBBBB. GBBBB includes battle missions as well as online game elements that use Gunpla avatars. Upon entering GBBBB, the protagonist teams up with Tao, a “tutorial” character that is inexperienced but possesses a lot of knowledge and Lynn, a bubbly but competitive beginner. The three decide to take on GBBBB’s Battle Tournament, a major in-game event.
