Guilty Gear Strive’s season 4 battle pass adds 4 new fighters, including old favorites and exciting newcomers

Coming hot from EVO 2024, Arc System Works just announced the full roster for Guilty Gear Strive’s fourth season pass. Unlike previous seasons which kept their characters a surprise right up until they were about to launch, we now know that season four will include returning characters Dizzy and Venom as well as new characters Unika and Lucy.

Guilty Gear veterans are no strangers to Dizzy and Venom – both of whom first appeared in 2000’s Guilty Gear X. Dizzy is a half-human/ Gear hybrid who likes to harass her opponents from a distance with her shapeshifting wings, Necro and Undine. Venom, while human, is part of the Assassin’s Guild and uses his iconic pool cue weapon alongside a variety of billiard-based attacks. Dizzy will arrive in Guilty Gear Strive in October 2024, while Venom will follow sometime in early 2025.

Very little is known about newcomer Unika. Set to appear in the upcoming Guilty Gear Strive Dual Rulers anime, Unika is a human who has dedicated her life to eradicating all Gears. Based on what was shown in the anime trailer, Unika will cross paths with series mainstays Sin Kiske and Sol Badguy – the former being of quarter-human/ Gear descent while the latter is a Gear himself. Unika will be added to Guilty Gear Strive in Spring 2025.

Guilty Gear Strive Season 4 Cyberpunk Edgerunners Lucy

The final character, Lucy, might be familiar to fans of Cyberpunk 2077. The first guest character in Guilty Gear Strive, Lucyna Kushinada hails from Studio Trigger’s Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime series as a netrunner who is part of Maine’s crew. In the anime, Lucy uses 2 Monowires that come out of her Cyberarms as well as a Unity pistol to fight off threats. However, her real strength lies in her netrunning capabilities as she can hack into a variety of things. Lucy will drop into Guilty Gear Strive in Summer 2025.

In addition to the four new fighters, Guilty Gear Strive’s fourth season pass will include an exclusive color for all characters excluding Lucy, additional colors for the new characters, and two extra stages. This is on top of the upcoming Team of 3 mode that will pit two teams consisting of three characters against each other (the open beta version of which will be available on July 25). Considering Guilty Gear Strive is now three years old, those who have stuck with the game have a lot to look forward to in the coming year.

Guilty Gear Strive is available on PS4/PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S and PC (Steam).
