Arc System Works announced on February 25 that it has reached an agreement with Bandai Namco Entertainment regarding the transfer of Guilty Gear –Strive –’s publishing rights.
Starting February 26, 2026, publishing rights for the fighting game in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and Asian regions will be officially transferred to Arc System Works, including sales, promotion and all related operations. The transfer excludes the US, Japan and South Koea, where Arc System Works is already the publisher.
The developer expressed its “deepest gratitude” to Bandai Namco Entertainment for supporting Guilty Gear Strive’s operations in Europe and Asia so far, and promises to ensure a smooth handover. The transfer will not have any impact on save data, DLC and online matches, and players can continue using their existing accounts as-is. On the other hand, with the change in publishers, inquiries related to Guilty Gear Strive will now be going directly to Arc System Works. The developer has provided forms for EMEA and Asian regions respectively.
During its February 26 maintenance, Guilty Gear Strive will be updated with patch Ver1.52. This patch is meant to accommodate the handover and will not affect gameplay. On the other hand, preparations for the major Guilty Gear Strive 2.00 update are “proceeding according to schedule” and will not be affected by the transfer, according to producer Ken Miyauchi.
Guilty Gear –Strive – is available for PC (Steam), PS5/PS4, Xbox Series X❘S/Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
