Ghost of Tsushima Legends anime announced with story by the creator of Psycho Pass 

An anime adaptation of Sucker Punch’s hit game Ghost of Tsushima has been announced. The Ghost of Tsushima Legends anime will be based on the online multiplayer spinoff of the same name. Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Sony Entertainment and PlayStation Productions are the companies involved, and the news was revealed at Sony’s presentation at CES 2025

Scheduled for release in 2027, the Ghost of Tsushima Legends anime series will be co-produced by Crunchyroll and Aniplex. It will be directed by Takanobu Mizuno and written by Gen Urobuchi, who is best known as the creator of Psycho Pass and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. The animation production will be handled by Kamikaze Douga with music from Sony Music Entertainment. 

Considering Cruchyroll’s involvement, international viewers can likely expect the Ghost of Tsushima Legends anime to debut on the Crunchyroll streaming service sometime in 2027.
