FromSoftware saw sales and profits grow by a large margin in the past fiscal year. According to a financial report published in Japan’s government gazette on July 23 (spotted by GameBiz), the Elden Ring developer posted a 51.5% increase in total revenue compared to the previous year, while operating profit grew by 53.5%.
FromSoftware’s full metrics for the fiscal year (April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025) are as follows:
Revenue: 23.497 billion yen (approx. $160 million), a 51.5% increase year-on-year
Operating Profit: 10.077 billion yen (approx. $68 million), a 53.5% increase year-on-year
Ordinary Profit: 10.299 billion yen (approx. $70 million), a 55.2% increase year-on-year
Net Profit: 6.618 billion yen (approx. $45 million), a 66.1% increase year-on-year)
According to FromSoftware’s parent company Kadokawa, the strong performance was driven by enduring worldwide sales of Elden Ring and its recent Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Note that their most recent release, Elden Ring Nightreign, came out in May, so its performance is not reflected in this financial report.
In the upcoming period, FromSoftware will release the multiplayer action RPG The Duskbloods as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. There have also been rumors that the studio has another multiplatform project already in “the advanced stages of development,” with a release possibly coming next year.
