FromSoftware and Spike Chunsoft parent company Kadokawa has 26 new games in development  

Kadokawa Corporation revealed that they currently have 26 new game titles under development by their subsidiaries, which include FromSoftware and Spike Chunsoft. This news was revealed in the Japanese media and telecommunications conglomerate’s earnings report for the second quarter (September-June 2024), and reported on by GameWatch

Game-related companies that are under the Kadokawa umbrella include Elden Ring developer FromSoftware, Danganronpa developer and publisher Spike Chunsoft and RPG Maker dev Gotcha Gotcha Games. In December 2023, Japanese game company Acquire, known for the Tenchu: Stealth Assassins series and Hookah Haze, became part of the Kadokawa group. These companies are likely to be among those working on the 26 upcoming titles (20 for consoles and six for mobile platforms). Gotcha Gotcha Games, for example, is currently working on Action Game Maker, due out in 2025.

The earnings report also revealed that Kadokawa’s video game sector grew significantly this year- mainly thanks to Elden Ring and its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
