Elden Ring’s latest DLC update buffs the effect of Scadutree Fragments on attack and defense stats
FromSoftware released Calibration Update 1.12.2 for Elden Ring on June 26. The update consists mainly of balancing adjustments to the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
Aside from Elden Ring’s existing leveling system, Shadow of the Erdtree introduces the Shadow Realm Blessing system, whereby your Tarnished’s attack and defense stats can be increased using Scadutree Fragments, which are items found across the game field.
Elden Ring’s latest Calibration Update 1.12.2 adjusts the rate at which these enhancements raise your attack and defense stats as well as their maximum effect. Scadutree Fragments will now give you more damage negation and attack power for the first half of the maximum amount, while the second half will gradually give you less of a buff. In addition, the maximum effect of the enchantments has been “slightly increased.”
Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC launched to rave reviews and a Metascore of 95, but there have been mixed opinions among players regarding the extremely high difficulty level. . At the time of writing, Elden Ring has a “Mixed” review status on Steam, with many of the negative reviews coming after the DLC’s launch. The latest update’s buffs may be in response to this situation.
As an aside, the patch notes warn users of a bug on the game’s PC version that causes raytracing settings to be automatically enabled and advises people on what to do if experiencing unstable frame rates.
