Bandai Namco Holdings has announced its financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (source: Bandai Namco). Between April 1 and June 30, the company generated 300.43 billion JPY (around $2 billion USD) in total sales, 51.921 billion JPY ($352 million USD) in operating profits, 54.658 billion JPY ($371 million USD) in ordinary profits, and 38.329 billion JPY ($260 million USD) in net profit. All quarterly profit metrics saw double-digit growth compared to the previous year.
While Bandai Namco saw the highest revenue in its Toys and Hobby Business division thanks to products aimed at adult customers (which include Gunpla model kits, collector’s figures, Ichiban Kuji lotteries, and trading card games), its Digital Business division was no slouch either. The division, which handles video game development and publishing, saw sales that amounted to roughly $732 million USD and a segment profit of approximately $147 million USD.
The success of Elden Ring Nightreign contributed heavily to Bandai Namco’s profits in the Digital Business division, as highlighted by the company. The game shipped 2 million units on its first day, and total sales surpassed 5 million as of July 24 (source: Kadokawa).

Aside from the Elden Ring spin-off, other titles such as the Japan-exclusive Tamagotchi Puchi Puchi Omisecchi: Omachidosama! (which serves as a companion game to Bandai Namco’s line of Tamagotchi Uni toys) and the newly released SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL mobile game also saw growth in their fanbases and revenue.
Moving forward, Bandai Namco plans to continue developing high-quality titles that will allow it to “build a balanced and optimal title portfolio.” The Bandai Namco Studios and Bandai Namco Entertainment subsidiaries are also working on a new in-house engine and doubling down on the company’s startup investment fund.
