Death Stranding 2 dominates top four spots on Japan pre-order ranking 

In its first week of pre-orders, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach was the most pre-ordered game in Japanese charts.

In the week between March 16 and March 22, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach took the top four sports on Amazon Japan’s most pre-ordered video game ranking, with the Collector’s Edition already sold out (as reported by Famitsu). 

Along with the release of a special Hideo Kojima-directed Pre-Order trailer, Kojima Productions recently announced that Death Stranding’s sequel will be releasing on June 26, with pre-orders going live on March 17. The game has been very popular in its first week of pre-orders in Japan, with its different editions dominating the pre-order charts. 

In first place was Death Stranding 2’s Collector’s Edition. Priced at $229.99 USD, this edition includes the game, early access, a letter from Hideo Kojima, collector’s box, art cards, figures and a plethora of in-game items. The next three spots on the ranking were also filled by Death Stranding 2’s Deluxe and Standard editions, with Level-5’s new Fantasy Life game coming in fifth place. 

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launches on June 26 for the PS5.
