Bandai silently announces Dragon Ball Project: Multi, a new free-to-play MOBA game
Bandai Namco Entertainment just announced a new Dragon Ball game titled Dragon Ball Project: Multi. There’s already an open beta test for the title scheduled for August 20 to September 3. The game will be available for PC (Steam) and mobile platforms.
Dragon Ball Project: Multi is a free-to-play 4v4 game developed by Ganbarion. It adopts a top-down point of view in what appears to be MOBA-style gameplay, making it the first team-based competitive game in the history of Dragon Ball games.
There are three available roles to play – the aggressive DPS role, the tank, and the “technical” role, which can both support allies and obstruct enemies. As you play, your Hero evolves during the course of each round, growing in strength. As well as participating in team play, you can also pursue solo play.
In addition, you can customize the appearance and animations of your playable character – this includes both skins and things like entrance animations and special finisher animations. Since Dragon Ball Project: Multi is a free-to-play game, it is likely that the game will be monetized through character customization items.
The open beta test for the upcoming Dragon Ball title will be held on both Steam and the iOS and Android app stores, starting from August 20 and lasting until September 3. PC users will be able to request access to the game via the Steam store page once the playtest is available.
Dragon Ball Project: Multi is scheduled to be released for free for PC (Steam), iOS and Android.
