Astro Bot to get a free Winter Wonder holiday update 

To commemorate the success of Astro Bot and the arrival of the winter holidays, Team Asobi is releasing a free update for their hit PlayStation exclusive. A new Winter Wonder level will be released on Thursday, December 12 at 6 pm Pacific Time for everyone who owns the game. 

To unlock the Winter Wonder level, players must first complete the main story (100% percent completion not required). While Team Asobi doesn’t want to spoil the contents of the new level, it has teased that Winter Wonder will have a ton of shiny presents, jingle bells, and best of all, new bots to add to your crew.  

Considering the game already has over 300 Bots, it’s possible that the new additions might take cues from more obscure video games. The developers have said that Winter Wonder will be fun for both children and adults, so Astro Bot will likely continue to widen and increase the PS5’s playerbase. 

Astro Bot was widely praised by critics and players alike. Its short length and engaging gameplay were even commended by renowned game director and designer Masahiro Sakurai. Add that to the wealth of free DLC the game has been getting, and Astro Bot truly is a title that provides fun and respects the player’s investment in it.
