Armored Core and Gundam-inspired mech shooter to have a 60-player battle royale mode
Mecha Break by Amazing Seasun Games is a Gundam and Armored Core series- inspired mech TPS that’s planned for release on the PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game focuses on online co-op play, and it’s recently been revealed that it will have a survival/battle royale mode that allows up to ten 6-player teams (source: Game*Spark).
The robots featured in Mecha Break belong to specific classes, such as attack-types, support-types, sniper-types etc., and thus have clear roles in team-play. The game has three modes: a 6-vs-6 Battlefield mode, a 3-vs-3 Ace Arena mode, and the latest PvPvE survival mode called Mashmak. In Mashmak, you team up with five other players and engage in a battle royale against enemy units while steering clear of huge electromagnetic storms.
As a co-op mech shooter, Mecha Break is quite niche genre-wise, but it aims to be approachable with intuitive controls, automatic lock-on and elements from popular hero shooters. Find out more details in our in-depth report on the Mecha Break Alpha.
Mecha Break’s developers are currently recruiting players for a closed Beta test. The game’s release date has yet to be announced, but it is planned to launch for the PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
