Aniplex and Akatsuki Games announce new game called Project Hyke

Aniplex and Akatsuki Games revealed on September 11 that they are working on a new game project together. The project is named Project Hyke, however it is not known when the game will be released nor what platforms it will be available on.

An official account for the project popped up on X and made its first post today. The concept art and text suggest that the game will be an adventure about a girl and her cat going on a journey to discover more about her mother, who “destroyed the world.”  The character designs will be done by Orie, an active artist on Pixiv known for their stylized illustrations of girls, which incorporate natural imagery like flowers. The game will be produced by Hiroaki Iwano, who previously produced the anime series Million Arthur. According to the producer’s X profile, he enjoys camping and hot springs, and is interested in rare plants and cats. It seems like some of these interests may be reflected in the world of the game.

As an aside, Akatsuki Games pulled out of working on Atelier Resleriana at the end of August, perhaps to focus their attention on Project Hyke. They are also developing Tribe Nine, which recently concluded its beta test
