Elden Ring full-color comic adaptation announced for March 29
Japanese publisher Kadokawa announced that an official full-color webcomic based on FromSoftware’s fantasy action RPG Elden Ring will start publication from March 29. The upcoming manga adaptation is titled ELDEN RING Become Lord (via PR Times).
The highly acclaimed Elden Ring recently celebrated its 2-year anniversary, and its devoted player base are eagerly awaiting the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion scheduled for release on June 21. It seems the DLC will be preceded by the debut of Elden Ring Become Lord – a webcomic set in the world of Elden Ring. Authored by award-winning manga artist Tegekiken, the comic will tell the “epic adventure of the Tarnished One, who aims to become Elden Lord.”
According to the press release, Elden Ring Become Lord will be published in three formats – a vertical scrolling format, classical paged manga format and e-book format. At the moment, the comic is available only in Japanese, and a 15-page preview can be accessed on Comic Walker.
Elden Ring has previously been adapted into the comic ELDEN RING: The Road to the Erdtree. Also published by Kadokawa, this title put a comedic spin on the original setting, including absurd and humorous situations. However, it seems that the new adaptation will take on a more serious tone, closer to the atmosphere of the original game.
ELDEN RING Become Lord starts publication on March 29.
