Palworld: Disturbing secret about Pals’ appetite shocks players 

Palworld might look cute, but the game’s dark side is always hovering under the bright and colorful surface. This is already evident in how PocketPair’s open world survival game allows you to enslave pals and butcher them for profit. But one player took to Reddit to share an ominous secret that was hidden in plain sight. 

Other commenters shared how the discovery that these cute and innocent-looking creatures have a taste for human flesh had unnerved them. Many Redditers pointed out that the first NPC you meet warns you that Pals are savage creatures who ate all her comrades. However, it seems that the Pals’ cuteness has endeared them to some players, who subsequently forgot all about the Pals’ darker appetites.  

This puts a whole new sinister twist on the game’s opening cutscene, in which three adorable Pals are smiling down on your unconscious character who has just washed up ashore. If you hadn’t woken up, you might have been dinner. Perhaps this explains the disappointed expression on the Lamball’s face when you start to move. 

Palworld is available in early access for the PC (Steam), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
