In this atmospheric indie puzzle game, you explore a town where night never ends

Japanese indie developer Image Labo has announced that Recolit will be releasing on February 16, 18:00 (JST) for the PC (Steam). The game will be available in English, French, Japanese and Chinese.

Recolit is a pixel art puzzle-adventure game set in a mysterious town in which the night never ends. After experiencing a spaceship crash, you find yourself navigating through the darkness of the town while searching for lights.

The town’s residents seem to go about their lives normally despite constantly being under the night sky. You will progress through the game by interacting with the residents and helping them fulfil their wishes. These requests will include trivial tasks such as buying juice or playing with pigeons, and progressing through them will lead you to “what really matters” as Recolit’s description states.

Recolit’s cinematic trailer and screenshots reveal atmospheric pixel art environments, minimalist sound design and hints of an intriguing story.

The developer of Recolit, Image Labo, have previously released Resonance of the Ocean, a free-to-play hand-drawn puzzle game with a soothing setting, which currently has an Overwhelmingly positive status on Steam.

Recolit releases on February 16 for the PC (Steam).
