Palworld meets Attack on Titan in this user’s massive city build

Palworld players have been finding new ways to express their creativity by building stunning bases in PocketPair’s open world survival game. One player recently posted a video on Reddit showcasing a giant city that they built, which seems to be inspired by the iconic Walls of Paradis Island from Attack on Titan. Apparently, it took them two weeks to construct it and they didn’t use any mods.

Palworld allows you to explore its vast world and capture creatures called “Pals,” which you can use as you please. Most players will use Pal labor to help them build a base, but the Reddit user above has taken this to a new level, almost turning Palworld’s sandbox into a city-building sim. Accompanied by the “My War” opening theme from season 4 of Attack on Titan, the impressive city features walls that resemble those used to keep the giant, destructive titans out of human settlements in the anime. Towards the end of the video, the user swoops down onto the raised motte and bailey-style castle keep. They walk up the impressive staircase and into the building, allowing us a glimpse of the inside before amusingly stopping in front of the only thing in the room… a toilet that is perhaps the throne.

Incidentally, Attack on Titan’s locations seem to have been heavily influenced by traditional European architecture, with the fortified town of Carcassonne in France and Nördlingen in Germany being pointed out as possible inspirations.

Regarding the Palworld user’s creation, commenters on Reddit pointed out that it also reminded them of King’s Landing from Game of Thrones, with the toilet at the end hinting at a certain character’s death in the HBO series. Many responders were impressed by the shear scale of the build.

Since its early access debut, Palworld enthusiasts have been sharing some truly wild and creative builds, such as this floating castle inspired by Studio Ghibli’s Laputa: Castle in the Sky, and this insanely tall base where you can slide down an endless series of slopes.

Palworld is available in early access for the PC (Steam), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
