3D custom mecha action game “Dolls Nest” by Nitroplus to launch in 2024

Nitroplus has announced that Dolls Nest will be releasing in 2024 for the PC (Steam). A new trailer was released following the announcement, revealing more of the game’s story and gameplay.

Dolls Nest is a 3D mech customization action game. The game is set in the in an “autonomous factory world” called Hod, which is crawling with armored units. As a “Frame Unit” mecha girl, you explore the ruined world, customizing your build along the way.

In combat, dodging and firing weapons will consume energy, making resource management an important aspect of strategy. Individual parts of the mechs can be customized, and adapting builds to suit different situations seems to be another important aspect of gameplay. From the trailer, it seems that a variety of parts, such as multiple and reverse jointed legs, will be available.

Nitroplus, the developer of Dolls Nest, is a Japanese brand that produces games, anime, and novels. In the past, Nitroplus has released games such as Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa, Demonbane, Saya no Uta and Touken Ranbu.

Dolls Nest is being directed by Ota Yojo, a 3DCG designer/character designer at Nitroplus. An initial teaser video of the game was released back in October 2023, and development seems to be progressing steadily based on the new story and gameplay elements revealed this time around.

Dolls Nest is planned to release in 2024 for the PC (Steam).
