Armored Core meets roguelite elements in upcoming indie TPS
Chinese indie developer Team Lark announced the 3D action game Lavrock: Last Fortress. The release date is yet to be revealed, but the game will be available for the PC (Steam) in English, Japanese and Chinese.
Lavrock: Last Fortress is a third-person shooter that combines roguelite and RPG elements. With a pronounced Armored Core flavor to it, Lavrock has you piloting mechs of various specifications. Combat takes place on randomly generated levels, and as you fight, you unlock and collect new weapons and equipment to upgrade your mechs. Two characters named Celia and Adeline, presumably pilots, have been revealed, and they are rendered in an anime-like style.
Lavrock promises varied build paths, with “dozens of weapons and hundreds of equipment” items that can be either collected or purchased in the hangar. You will also be able to earn enhancement points in battle, which can be used to develop the skill trees of both mechs and pilots.
The game supports both single-player mode and co-op mode, which can be played by up to three players. Full controller support will also be available.
Lavrock: The Last Fortress is scheduled for release for the PC (Steam).
