Armored Core 6 will get an online co-op play mod, and the demo looks promising
Mod creator LukeYui revealed that they are in the progress of creating a mod for online cooperative play in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. LukeYui is known for their high-quality mods, made predominantly for Souls games, such as a PvP and co-op mod for Sekiro, and an Elden Ring seamless co-op mod.
On November 20, LukeYui posted a demo video of their work-in-progress mod that will add unofficial online cooperative play to Armored Core 6. The demo shows two players taking on the “Attack the Watchpoint” mission, but according to the creator, the mod allows for up to 6 players (1 host and + 5 guests). On full release, the mod will support enemy scaling, and the co-op party will persist between missions. The host will be able to adjust difficulty per additional player.
The Armored Core 6 co-op mod is currently in its alpha stage, and the creator has (in response to a user comment on YouTube) stated that once ready for testing, the mod will be available as a public beta on NexusMods.
So far, reactions from the community have been very positive, and LukeYui’s impressive track record with mods for Souls games is no doubt contributing to the anticipation.
LukeYui’s mods can be found on their NexusMods page. They also have a Ko-fi page for those interested in supporting their work.
