Japanese streaming group ii otona-tachi has announced a new game for the Nintendo Switch called Omoshiro Action – ii otona-tachi no daibouken, which can be translated as Entertaining Action –ii otona-tachi’s Great Adventure. It will be released in Japan on July 28.

Omoshiro Action – ii otona-tachi no daibouken is a 2D side-scrolling action game which uses a graphical style that is reminiscent of the 16-bit era. Players will be able to switch between a variety of characters as they play, and there are multiple difficulty options to choose from. Self-described as an “entertaining action game thought up by game streamers” it’s sure to also draw a bit of attention from a game design point of view.

It appears that game company Alex is involved in the development of the title, which is being supervised by ii otona-tachi. Publishing duties are being handled by Happymeal. Composer Manami Matsumae contributed music for the game and the boss characters were designed by manga artist Yuu Watari.

ii otona-tachi is a group of four streamers who have been making videos since 2010, mainly on Niconico. In the past, ii otona-tachi have developed their own games using RPG Maker, and one of the members also worked on the story and character designs for this new game. The trailer even shows a dialogue scene from the game which likely puts their skills on full display.
