NieR:Automata themed portable turntable to be sold in Japan
Onkyo has announced a NieR:Automata-themed turntable called Portable Turntable OCP-01 NieR to commemorate the game’s 5th anniversary. It’s based on Onkyo’s OCP-01 model with additional touches, such as a new illustration of 2B drawn by artist Kazuma Koda and a YoRHa marking printed on the outer part of the turntable case. Purchasers will receive an original NieR-themed slipmat as a bonus.
The OCP-01 model is 350mm wide, 315mm tall, 390mm deep (when the case is opened), and weighs 2.5kg. It’s compact in size and has built-in stereo speakers that support Bluetooth so you can play music from a smartphone or other devices. It’s easy to use for beginners and supports 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM. Pitch control and auto-stop functions are available as well.
The turntable will become available for pre-order in Japan starting April 27 (JST). It’s a limited-time offer, and the price is set at 18,000 yen (around $140). Onkyo will also be selling other NieR:Automata-related merchandise like an A4 clear file with Koda’s illustration and an F3 sized canvas art (272 x 220 mm).
Square Enix’s action role-playing game NieR:Automata is currently celebrating its 5th anniversary and has been busy collaborating with a bunch of other titles, including Babylon’s Fall, Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and New State Mobile. As for Onkyo, they are also selling NieR:Automata-themed wireless earphones called CP-TWS01A NieR.
