Chinese game development studio Hypergryph has officially announced Arknights: Endfield. The game’s official website reveals some artwork and more information about the game’s setting, along with the gameplay and CG trailers that are both live.

Arknights: Endfield is a 3D real-time RPG with strategy elements. The game takes place on a planet called Talos-II which is plagued with natural disasters and danger all around. The pioneers of this planet spent years trying to settle the land and establish a new civilization. But beyond the walls of their settlements is a dangerous and unexplored world. Players take control of a supervisor leading specialists from Endfield Industries in exploring and reclaiming the land. Uncover lost technology, explore ancient ruins, and tame the uninhabited wildlands of Talos-II.

Not much has been revealed regarding the gameplay. From the gameplay trailer, we see a white-haired girl exploring a wasteland in 3D. The official website also reveals more about the game’s setting. On Talos-II, there’s a supernatural catastrophe called The Corruption that creates environmental distortions and other physical phenomena, as well as the Aggelos, a swarm of inorganic constructs that appear to be enemies in the game.

Arknights: Endfield is being developed by the Chinese studio Hypergryph. They are known for their tower defense RPG Arknights on mobile. They’re also developing another mobile RPG called Ex Astris. Judging by the name, Arknights: Endfield is likely related to the Arknights tower defense game that’s already available.
