Hideo Kojima started a new podcast called HIDEO KOJIMA’S RADIOVERSE
Renowned game creator Hideo Kojima has started a new podcast called HIDEO KOJIMA’S RADIOVERSE. It’s available on Amazon’s Audible, and as expected, the program is in Japanese. Each episode features different guests to talk about topics related to video games, movies, novels, and more.
The first episode is currently available, and it features members of 2BRO (Otoja, Anija, and Otsuichi), some of the most famous video game YouTubers in Japan, as the first guests. Their main channel has over 3 million subscribers, and they’ve collaborated with Hideo Kojima before in November of 2019, when Kojima’s Death Stranding initially launched.
In the newly released podcast program, Kojima and the members of 2BRO talked about the Metal Gear Solid series, Death Stranding, etc.
Otoja first gained popularity for his ability to imitate Solid Snake’s Japanese voice, in addition to his gaming skills and well-mannered attitude towards games and viewers in general. He has also been collaborating with Akio Otsuka, the Japanese voice actor for Solid Snake, in recent years by appearing on each other’s YouTube channels and playing Among Us together (with Otsuka appearing under the alias Namonakinezumi). Needless to say, Otoja and other members of 2BRO are fans of Kojima’s work, so there’s no surprise that they were invited as the first guests.
Kojima had done a blog, radio (Hideo radio), and YouTube program (HideoTube) in the past, but none of them lasted long. Let’s hope things will go differently this time around.
In related news, Kojima is scheduled to appear on a different radio broadcast today on February 4 to talk about things he’s interested in right now. Singer and songwriter Daichi Miura, who had also collaborated with 2BRO numerous times, will appear as a guest, too.
