Gothic action JRPG featuring sexy demon slaying nuns gets Steam store page after selling over 100,000 copies on DLsite

Developed by Japanese indie circle Uu, the dark action RPG SiNiSistar2 is coming soon to Steam with English language support.

Publishers Sanuk and Eroge Japan have launched a Steam store page for the dark indie action RPG SiNiSistar2, which is currently listed as “Coming Soon” on the platform.

Developed by the Japanese indie dev circle Uu, SiNiSistar2 (a successor to 2019’s SiNiSistar) originally released on DLsite in April 2025, and has since sold over 100,000 copies on the platform with a 4.82 out of 5 rating. In this gothic and grotesque 2D action game, you play as protagonist Sister Lelia and her companion Sister Hanya, who are on a holy mission to defeat the evil that’s corrupting the land of Arsezon.

The magic nuns will face off eldritch monsters and evil cult followers using a battle system that combines melee and magic-based action. Sister Lelia can use purifying magic to exorcise evil, while Hanya supports her with the ability to treat ailments. Gameplay revolves around exploration, leveling up, and defeating enemies by observing their attack patterns and exploiting weaknesses.

SiNiSistar2 offers six dungeons located across swamps, caves and derelict villages, with sub-events scattered along the way. The graphics combine 2D pixel art with 3D environments.

Although originally an R-rated game, SiNiSistar2’s Steam version has been reworked to be suitable for all ages, which, according to the developers, was a pretty big undertaking considering the sheer amount of gory and sexual scenes originally present. While there are plans for the game to get a downloadable patch that will restore this content, the developers say they’ve worked hard to make sure the all-ages version feels like a complete experience even played on its own.

SiNiSistar2 is currently available on DLSite and coming soon to Steam in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
