Japanese anime and film production company Avex Pictures has announced the surprise global release of OUTCAST’S RESTAURANT OrderRush, a restaurant management mobile game based on the “Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant!” light novel series (which also got an anime last year). Featuring popular characters like Dennis and Atelier, the game tasks you with managing a diner by taking customers’ orders, serving the correct dishes, and cleaning up on time.
As you complete orders, you gain resources that allow you to upgrade your workers, which are called “avatars.” These upgrades include level and stat boosts, and they make running the diner progressively easier. Instead of traditional cooking, avatar costumes are what change what dishes are available on the menu. The trick to successful diner management lies in leveling your crew, outfitting avatars to match the dishes each customer likes, and being quick with the service.

Unlike similar games like Diner Dash and Overcooked, OrderRush isn’t meant to be difficult. While things can get a little hectic during certain hours (lunch and dinner rushes especially), the game is casual experience that doesn’t make things unmanageable for those who have trouble multitasking. The controls are set up so that you can play with one hand.
OUTCAST’S RESTAURANT OrderRush is available now on Android (Google Play) and iOS devices. A log-in campaign that awards free upgrade materials, gacha pulls and a unique avatar is currently ongoing, as are two paid discount campaigns.
