Sengoku Rance’s Steam page went live on January 15. Aside from being the seventh mainline entry in the long-running Rance series, it is also one of its best-selling titles and a fan-favorite.
Developed by AliceSoft and published by Kagura Games and MangaGamer, Sengoku Rance is set in a parody of real-world medieval Japan during its Sengoku period (also known as the Warring States period). Players take on the role of the adventurer Rance as he commands the Oda clan (which was entrusted to him by the famous warlord Oda Nobunaga himself). His main objective is to unite the country under the clan’s rule and (since this is an eroge title) have relations with as many beautiful Japanese women as possible.

Sengoku Rance is a strategy game where the goal is to effectively manage resources, territories, and soldiers/famous historical heroes to gain an advantage in turn-based combat. The story unfolds between battles and evolves depending on your strategic decisions. With several stories, endings, and branching paths, you’re incentivized to play multiple runs to see everything the game has to offer.
While several Rance titles are already on other digital platforms, such as GOG, making them available on Steam will expand their reach to a wider audience. The Steam version of Sengoku Rance will be available in Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and English.
