Devil May Cry and Dragon’s Dogma producer’s new fast-paced action RPG Stupid Never Dies announced for Steam and PS5

GPTRACK50, the new studio of Capcom veteran Hiroyuki Kobayashi, just announced Stupid Never Dies.

During The Game Awards 2025, GPTRACK50 announced the brand-new singleplayer title Stupid Never Dies, slated for launch in 2026 for PC (Steam) and PS5. This is the studio’s debut title, headed by former Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi.

Stupid Never Dies is a 3D action-adventure RPG set in a monster-ruled dungeon, featuring werewolves, lizardmen and skeletons. You play as Davy, a timid zombie living at the bottom of monster society. Davy’s mission is to bring Julia, a frozen human girl, back to life.

Gameplay consists of defeating enemies, leveling up Davy, and collecting “strange” items. The game will also include a system that lets you steal the abilities of enemies, as well as body part customization.

Described as a “blazing fast growth” RPG, Stupid Never Dies is a fast-paced action game, developed by a group of veterans in the genre handpicked by Kobayashi. The game’s announcement trailer showcases a punky and colorful aesthetic reminiscent of Grasshopper Manufacture’s Lollipop Chainsaw.

Stupid Never Dies releases in 2026 for PC (Steam) and PS5.

  1. This feels like a legally distinct Lollipop Chainsaw. However I’m excited! Glad colorful b-movie zombie games are still in style. It feels like it’ll be a fun time.
