Silent Hill f writer Ryukishi07’s doujin circle tease upcoming livestream of themselves playing the game

On their official X account, Ryukishi07-led doujin circle 07th Expansion shared their plans to livestream a playthrough of Silent Hill f.

It’s been more than a month since Silent Hill f was released, and the official 07th Expansion X account has expressed its gratitude for the game’s positive reception. While the Japanese doujin circle (led by writer Ryukishi07) is exceptionally busy, they shared that they would love to live stream the title once the situation cools down a bit.

Post translation: We’re truly grateful for the overwhelmingly positive reception for Silent Hill f! Things are a bit hectic at the moment, but soon enough, we want to give streaming a shot too! Please bear with us!

Since the 07th Expansion X account occasionally includes posts made by Ryukishi07, there’s a good chance the writer himself will be featured in the planned livestream. It would be rare treat to see the creator of the When They Cry series play through his works, especially one that doesn’t involve solely reading through lines of text.

If it actually ends up happening, this would mark the second time a prolific Silent Hill f figure has decided to play the game. Just last week, Japanese actress and model Konatsu Kato (who provided the likeness and voice for protagonist Hinako Shimizu) created a YouTube channel where she streams her playthroughs. Kato just made it to the game’s first Dark Shrine visit after two streams, so it will be interesting to see how far Ryukishi07 gets, given that he was the scenario writer for the project.

Silent Hill f is available for the PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X|S.
