According to Konami, Silent Hill f sold over 1 million units worldwide (digital and physical) by September 26, becoming the fastest selling title in the Silent Hill franchise. The new installment has been near the top of EU charts since its release, and its reception in Japan looks strong too. Over on Steam, Silent Hill f has a Mostly Positive rating among Japanese-speaking players, with much praise sung to the psychological horror narrative (courtesy of When They Cry series author Ryukishi07). On the other hand, opinions are more divided when it comes to f’s action-focused gameplay, which some argue takes away from the game’s “horror” aspects.
Silent Hill f is out now on PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X❘S.
