One of the first Omamori you can get in Silent Hill f is the Omamori [Whale] – a charm that prevents you from being interrupted by normal attacks when using healing items. Considering the game’s strong focus on combat, this is one useful charm that will help you make it through the earlier chapters of the game.

After you escape from the Fog Monster for the first time, monsters will start roaming the town of Ebisugaoka. Despite the formidable size of the first explorable section, progression is actually quite linear. As you look for a way to reunite with your friends, you will find yourself entering an abandoned house and solving your first real puzzle.

The abandoned house has two floors, the second of which leads to an exit that progresses the story. Go up to the second floor and open the sliding door in front of you. This leads to a room with a mask that you can pick up and examine. Examining the mask lets you obtain the Bloody Key, which will open the sliding door in the other room on the second floor that leads to the balcony exit.

Exiting the room will cause a monster to spawn in the hallway leading towards the exit. You won’t have any weapons if this is your first playthrough, so your best course of action is to lure the monster either downstairs or to the room you were just in.

After successfully kiting the monster and entering the other room on the second floor, you will come across the Back Door Key. This key opens the sliding door at the back of the first floor, which leads to the Omamori [Whale] charm.

Head back downstairs while carefully avoiding the monster that is still roaming the residence. Open the back sliding door on the first floor, climb down the ladder, and you will find the Omamori resting on a chest.
It’s important to note that interacting with objects does not make Hinako invincible. Actions with long animations, such as opening sliding doors and climbing ladders, leave you wide open to enemy attacks, which is why you should exercise caution before committing to them.
Silent Hill f is available for the PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X|S.
