Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance developer PlatinumGames has recently become aware of cases of individuals receiving suspicious emails from third parties impersonating the video game studio. These emails are disguised as job offers, which PlatinumGames states it “never sends to individuals without prior contact.”
As with all potentially malicious emails, PlatinumGames advises recipients not to reply, give personal information, or click on any embedded links. Instead, they can contact PlatinumGames using an official inquiry form so the matter can be resolved quickly.

Official communication from PlatinumGames’ comes from the domain names @platinumgames.co.jp, @mail.platinumgames.co.jp, and @platinumgames.com. Emails from addresses with domain names other than these are likely from malicious third parties.
PlatinumGames would also like to remind fans of its official English and Japanese X pages, as well as its official Instagram page. You can also check out the studio’s official recruitment webpage if you’re looking to work with them. As fast as PlatinumGames titles are, it would be best to job hunt the old-fashioned way instead of relying on a surprise email from an unknown source.
